Well Done Laura! 

Laura Robinson from Potto recently won the Leading Junior Show Jumper of the Year at the Horse of the Year show in Birmingham. Riding Paddy Power they jumped one of only two clears in the first round. Laura was first to jump in the competition and the second clear Daisy Davis didn't come until towards the end. Laura going first in the jump off jumped a fantastic round going clear in a fast time,  Daisy was going well until the last fence where she had four faults in a slightly quicker time.

  Paul Barker a former winner of the Junior Show Jumper title also had a successful show jumping in the International classes being placed with Amadeus and Temple Ryfield several times. Anderida Anica won the Hoys.co.uk Cup a very fast speed class where she beat Laura Renwick on Balluga by 0.2 seconds, she was also equal second in the Puissance. At Arena Uk a fortnight earlier she attempted the Puissance for the first time and went on to win jumping a mega 2m 10.

BSJA National Team Showjumping Championships

Saturday 5th September 2009 at Scope Festival

Our Young Team pictured above recently did the area proud in the BSJA National Team Showjumping Championships, all 4 are under the age of 18 with Lucy being the youngest at just 14. 

They went into the second round on 0 along with the team from Somerset. In the Second round the jumping order was reversed leaving James and Amira to go first and jumping clear in the 1.25m section, followed by Zoe and  Rimilithius in the 1.20m section who also jumped clear. Next was the 1.10m section and the turn of Lucy and Knightsbridge who jumped clear this meant the team was still on 0 and Sarah didn't have to jump. It was all down to Somerset who had to jump their last member who finished  on 4 faults so the Area 15 team were outright winners.  The whole Championship was very competitive and our young team coped exceptionally  well with the pressure.
